PHP filetype() Function

The filetype() function returns the file type of a file.
Possible return values:
- fifo
- char
- dir
- block
- link
- file
- socket
- unknown
Note: The result of this function is cached. Use clearstatcache() to clear the cache.

filetype(filename)
