Specify some code to run if there is no case match in a switch block:
int day = 4;
switch (day) {
case 6:
cout << "Today is Saturday";
break;
case 7:
cout << "Today is Sunday";
break;
default:
cout << "Looking forward to the Weekend";

The default keyword specifies the default block of code in a switch statement, which is the code to run if there is no case match in the switch.
Note: if the default keyword is used as the last statement in a switch block, it does not need a break.
